◼︎ In 2011, I knocked on Casey Neistat’s studio door to film a short documentary about him. What started as a simple project soon evolved into a long-term collaboration. - Over the years, I worked as both an assistant and cameraman on productions for major international brands, while also gaining firsthand experience in the technical, creative, and logistical aspects of running one of the most influential studios in digital media. During that time, I learned how large-scale marketing campaigns are developed, produced, and distributed, as well as the behind-the-scenes realities of managing a channel followed by millions of subscribers worldwide.
In February 2015, I joined Casey Neistat and Matt Hackett as a beta tester & consultant for a new project: a video-sharing app called Beme. At the time, I knew very little about the app beyond its core mission — to create a more honest and immediate way of sharing life online: no filters, no previews, and no screen standing between the user’s eyes and the moment unfolding in front of them. After months of testing and countless refinements, the app launched on the App Store and was embraced by millions of users around the world, creating a new way for people to share real-time experiences and genuine human moments. On November 28, 2016, CNN announced the acquisition of Beme for approximately $25 million USD, and the app officially shut down on January 31, 2017. - THANK YOU SO MUCH to all 40000 of you who watched my stories on there !
(For clarity: I was never involved with the management or ownership of Beme Inc. following the CNN acquisition.)
