WHERE IS MY CAMERA?
EVERY DAY, OR SEVERAL TIMES A DAY, I FIND MY DOCUMENTATION OF A PLACE OR SUBJECT INTERESTING TO ME. EVERY DAY, OR SEVERAL TIMES A DAY, IMMORTAL THE ADVENTURES OF MY CAMERAS VIA MY PHONE. EVERY DAY, OR MORE TIMES A DAY, I PUBLISH THESE SHOTS ON MY MULTIMEDIA DIARY. WELCOME IN MY PHONELIBRARY FOLKS!
FREE PRINTS EVERYWHERE I GO
Since my Arts & Crafts are stole from the regular world or the public intimacy of the people in it, wherever i go i leave behind me free prints, Zines or artworks, seasoned with a handwritten question for you stranger. An unexpected find for a random soul or a lucky find after a digital scavenger hunt (hints on my stories), no matter you want it or not. There is no main goal for this project: sometimes I hide near by waiting to catch the expression on someones face while reading my questions for them, sometimes people reply back to my message for them thru the email on it starting a virtual friendship between complete strangers, sometimes I just put them in unusual places, but most of the times nothing happens.
ONE MAN BAND PRODUCTION STUDIO
A project based on exploring the relationship between people and their built environment - Cinematography is where most of my passions collides, considering the malleability of this media, giving life to a multitude of different but interconnected series. A documentary approach that melts together cinematic reportages with a street raw style, mixing official informations with singular different realities. A mobile studio in my backpack is used to capture both real and fabricated images of the world around us. I write, film, edit and produce all my movies from my laptop, usually on a bench somewhere
WHATS IN MY BAG? WHATEVER
Cameras are tools and they always need to be ready, and by using them daily in all kinds of situations I unavoidably fuck them up. That’s one of the reason why I don’t invest in high-end gear, but I only own cheap old good cameras with only fully manual lenses. Spending your money in your own projects or adventures turns out to be a way better investment, always.
For specific projects that need an higher resolution rented gear is always available at any time.
DIGITAL NOMAD
The editing part of a movie is always one, if not the most, crucial moments of any projects. Thats why a light but great mobile studio in the backpack is essential for me, allowing me to edit on location within the same vibe, instead of days later & at a different place. Building a stronger base flow right away & filling in with studio detail later on, but without loosing that initial vibe.
QUICK SKETCHES EVERYWHERE
Freezing the vibe of a view on paper in a handful of minutes, capturing the essence of a place in order to revive that moment later on, or to just share it outside of my brain. Also a practice that puts you on a unique place while actually doing it, kinda therapeutic for the soul
WHEAT PASTE OR TAPE
Some places are sacred for the people, not only for religious purposes, so I can’t always rape the walls of some destination. Thats where paint is substitute by paper, leaving the same meaning but without such drastic impact on some superficies, using a shorter lifespan to give a stronger message.
LEARN TO DRAW WITH ME
Always practice exercises & always sketch something that catch your attention, non matter what it is. Sharing my drawing studies and my daily practices in order to teach you how to grow your skills without taking any actual lessons, or just to intrigue on starting drawing even if you don’t have any base yet.
THE STREET-ART SCAVENGER
Exploring places everyday often allows me to stumble in other people artwork and their research for interesting stuff, so I decided to document & curate a gallery of all the best works or messages I found around the globe, giving them one more voice and giving you the chance to go catch them by yourself.
FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS
When I was a little kid my dad used to bring me to the historic center of Roma while telling me a little history or facts about what was around us, but he always mentioned that he only knew 1% of the fascinating stories of what was around us.
Nowadays my life is all about learning, understanding & exploring all the other 99%
24/7 365 DAYS OF THE YEAR
I studied drawing in a high school of arts here in Roma, then painting & sculpting at the Roman academy of fine arts while also teaching myself photography & film-making, but only in 2009 I started blending all those things together in a series of daily works. since then I practice, breath, make and feed my brain with arts every single day, non matter what. Never skipped a single day so far.
REPORTAGES AND EXPERIENCES
Growing up in the outskirts of Roma I soon learned the importance of communication & knowledge. This city is the classic example where theory’s and practice’s couldn't be more far from each other on the spectrum, a place globally known for the arts, the culture & the unique atmosphere of it, while in todays reality the city is a complete shit show on so many different levels: from corruption, horrible city planning, awful infrastructures and an increasingly lack of genuine local culture & traditions. Instead of just complaining about all of that I decided to learn, understand, document & share all those realities, with both rational & personal opinions on it.
KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU EAT
Join me on an adventure thru all kinds of foods & ingredients of this fascinating planet. No matter you cook or not, start rebuilding your relationship with what you eat, retracing the history of food in order to have a better knowledge of what you are made of, allowing you to better choose what’s best for you or your family.
ITALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL TASTES
Explore the most yummiest foods I ever tested and try making it by yourself! Recipes, suggestions & tips and tricks behind the stove or hopefully the fire place. Watch my live stories on my social to see behind the scenes my meals, or read an article below too know more about your food & ingredients.
INGREDIENTS AND ORIGINS
Italian is famous for coffee? All beans in Italy are imported from somewhere else. Supplements, vitamins or food with extra calcium in it? Just bones or rocks crushed up in it.- Todays society is mostly built on industrial foods & bad ingredients, and tons of people are completely dissociated with the entire process of the food creation, so much removed from it to not be able to properly understand it and make healthy or rational choices about it. You don’t need too be a farmer in order too know more about what you eat every single day, just read & watch

■ WHO IS WALTER ATKINSON ?
Walter is a creative dreamer on the outside looking in. Living life for the moments that unveil themselves. He lives to create and creates to live. Walter believes that the mind is boundless and only held back by self. Independence and freedom drive his energy. He loves running the city streets and the people that travel its paths. Walter is inspired by this energy flow and attempts to rebound the inspirations. Walter is a teacher, a creator, a lucid dreamer, a product of the universe. He lives to inspire those around him as he travels his journey on this planet and throughout his mind.
■ HOW DID YOU KNOW SUANY ?
I first became aware of Suany Pangallo in 2011. My good friend Thurman showed me a cool youtube Nike commercial that Suany did with Casey Neistat.
Four months later Thurman introduced me to Suany when Suany moved to Nyc from Rome.
■ WHY DID YOU PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROJECT ?
I agreed to participate in the film because Suany is an interesting creative guy.
I felt that the experience would be good no matter what, and just see what happens.
■ WHAT DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE PROJECT ?
I know that this is a short film about me. That is about it. I do not know the story Suany is telling. That is why there is no acting in the film. Films can be edited many ways so I can only guess the story. Suany approached me one day in May with his idea to film me. In the previous weeks we kept randomly bumping into each other in the streets of Brooklyn. Him on a bike, me working out. Maybe that is what inspired him. I know he likes my hand weights.
■ HOW LONG DID IT TAKE ?
Suany filmed me for about five weeks. I would do what I normally do every day.
I would give Suany my schedule for the next day. He would show up whenever he showed up. I never really knew when he was planning to film, so I never prepared anything. Just was myself, being myself. I had many fun experiences during the five weeks of filming. Suany and I became close friends. We consider ourselves family.
■ BEST MOMENT ?
The best moment occured on the Coney Island boardwalk. Suany's favorite place. I was working out throwing punches with my hand weights. A little baby girl about three years old walked up to me and started boxing with me. She was adorable. Her fists were the size of my thumb.
■ WORST ONE ?
The worst moments were ten minutes before I was about to sing on stage for the first time at an East Village club.
■ EXPECTATION ?
My expectations of the film are that I would have a fun interesting experience and that my friends view some things that I do and think about. Hopefully it is a good story. Beyond that, whatever happens, happens.
■ HOW WAS THE FILMING PROCESS ?
Suany shoots in the background. I was usually not sure when he was actually filming. He filmed me without telling me the story so there is no acting or planning. Just doing. Suany does not like acting. He wants to film real. You never know what he is up to. Suany often films on a bike. He has great bike skills. It was fun filming with him. Suany has a very creative and unique perspective on life.
■ FUTURE ?
The future looks bright. Everything seems to be growing and developing.
My creative projects are flowing along. Every day I am learning fun new things.
I teach thousands of students and they are wonderful to teach. I am creating movie shorts which is a lot of fun. I am looking to expand my singing and perform a set on stage. Uh oh!! I am looking to be more global with everything I do. Online classes, a webshow with my characters and who knows whatever else. I have not seen the film yet. I hope that it tells a good story. The experience and process has already made the film worth doing. I enjoy doing these film projects and enjoy working with Suany. My friends will have fun viewing the film no matter what. Then whatever happens, happens.
■ ANYTHING ELSE ?
I hope that people open up their minds and see the universe Show up and try new things. Never listening to the voice that says you can not

■ WHAT'S PLAYGROUND STORIES?
Playground is my first short film.
A series of episodes about the adventures of two young boys in a science-fiction reality.
■ WHAT IS THE PLOT?
The voice of one of the two grown-up children tells the story of his life during an interview.
■ WHAT'S THE STRUCTURE OF THE SERIES?
Each episode is divided into acts, each act is the visual response to the questions asked by the interviewer. Each act tell an independent story and
the sum of them creates a complete story. The entire project will last many years so that the actors will really grow up until they reach the age of the interview.
■ HOW THE PROJECT IS MADE?
The entire project, for now, has been realized with no budget and with basic equipment. An entry level DSLR, two economic lens, 20$ tripod and a handful of friends. The make-up for the zombies was made by Francesco Fabiani without receiving any financial compensation, unfortunately.
■ HOM MUCH TIME DID THAT TAKE?
Every act was shot in a single day. In the case of the last act of the first episode we had to shoot it all over again because of a memorycard failure.
■ WHY IS IT PUBLISHED ONLY NOW?
Shoot with friends and family without being able to give any financial compensation is extremely difficult. Many days of filming have been postponed several times because of commitments on the part of the "actors" and so the entire post-production and postponed several weeks impacting on my move to New York City. A series of works, collaborations and events skirted the whole process to date.
■ WHEN YOU WILL START THE NEXT EPISODE?
When we find a budget.
Any kinds of budget...
■ COS'E' PLAYGROUND STORIES?
■ PERCHE' VIENE PUBBLICATO SOLO ORA?
■ WHO IS FRANCESCO FABIANI?
Francesco Fabiani is a sculptor and special effects make-up artist for film, 26 years old (for now). He lives in London and loves his job, which is why he was forced to leave home and migrate to another state.
■ HOW DID YOU REACH SUANY P. ?
We met by chance, on internet , I was working on a horror short film that was never done and he was looking to do something like that and we could have the opportunity to use costumes and prosthetics already done. Then we lost any contacts for almost a year. From one day to another we started to reach back again and within a few months we had everything ready for shooting Playground Stories.
■ WHY DID YOU PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROJECT?
I love my job and I liked the idea of orking with someone who has good ideas. That's the only reason why I did it without any compensation .... a good idea to start for justify an economic sacrifice and effort.
■ HOW DID YOU LIVED THIS EXPERIENCE?
I enjoyed it so much, we killed with laughter, but I was also very tired of being alone, I had to think of everything for the special effects. I have to thank one of the zombies, the only girl in the short , Federica Fiore that has helped me more than once in the post set removing all the make-up and helping alot.
■ THE MOST DIFFICULT THING?
Being able to do all the tricks and the prosthesis without having a penny in your pocket, only the basic materials where so expensive.
■ FUTURE?
Who can tell, I am in London banging my head left and right, some jobs but there is always an unknown factor in this world. I very much hope in this series because I believe that i have grown a solid working relationship and trust with Suany. So the answer to your question is: we will see in the future.
■ CHI E' FRANCESCO FABIANI?
■ COME TI SEI AVVICINATO A SUANY P. ?
■ WHO IS MANUEL ZOPPO?
Manuel is a 12 years old boy who has never been an actor before this experience. In the real life i am a student in middle school and in a dance class.
■ WHICH ROLE DID YOU PLAY?
In Playground Stories i am one of the two leading actors.. a child who live in a city infested with zombies.. he has a bit of fear but at the same time the character enjoys to "play" with them.
■ HOW DID YOU LIVED THIS EXPERIENCE?
It 's been a great experience ... very hard because there were so many shoots and it was very tiring but I know that we will do other episode when we are more older... so I'm even happier.
■ THE MUST DIFFICULT TIME?
The first day of shooting was very tiring, we were shooting at night and it was very cold but the most difficult time was when we shot , just me and Yuri, on the roof of a building... that was definitely the most difficult time.
■ THE BEST ONE?
The best and the most fun was when we were shooting with three zombies on stage and we shot all together, we had a really great time.
■ FUTURE?
In the future I would like to make many more episodes of Playground Stories or other series with my cousin Suany P. , i will work hard.
■ CHI E' MANUEL ZOPPO?
■ WHO IS YURI ZOPPO?
Yuri Zoppo is a ten years old boy who loves to play football, he is in middle school and lives in Dragona (Rome).
■ WHAT ROLE DID YOU PLAY?
I am one of the two kid , they have fun but at the same time they are afraid.
■ HOW DID YOU LIVED THIS EXPERIENCE?
It was great fun and I discovered new things, was like making the first goal in soccer.
■ THE MUST DIFFICULT TIME?
There has never been.
■ THE BEST TIME?
The best moments were: when i pretended to pee on a zombie, when Francesco Fabiani stepped on a shit, when we threw a wheel to a zombie, when Manuel fell while running and when we fell in bicycle during a scene.
■ FUTURE?
I would like to shot other episodes of Playground Stories but first I want to shoot new videos and in the meantime play soccer.
I want to thank my cousin Suany for making me do all these things.
Greetings to all.
■ CHI E' YURI ZOPPO?
Saluti a tutti.
